Stabu is a planet outside of the Solar System. Because the units of measurement of the only species Earth has had contact with, the Maroma, have not been properly matched up with any earthly system, it is unknown precisely where it is.
Stabu is home to thousands of species, but the two most dominant are the Maroma and the Edjil. The Maroma are a brutal, warmongering, violent species resembling anthropomorphic horses, but they only fight out of love for the battle. The Edjil, in contrast, are more academic on the whole, but are nasty and hateful. The Edjil are covered in fur, have long necks, a single arm, and walk on four tentacles.
The Maroma have attempted to go to war with the Edjil for as long as the species have existed, but they refuse to fight, instead they prefer to attack by deceit and treachery. Thus, the Maroma turned to the stars to satisfy their bloodlust.
